I have no desire to be human for my own "benefit" but I have come into several situations where the simulations I've run turn out more favorable, if I had been human for those situations. By refusing to change, I am intentionally making those solutions inaccessible, when they could greatly affect the outcome.

Does this sound like a reasonable conclusion to come to?

It's common for robots and AIs to be granted the ability to appear human by the Porter for whatever reason, but it becomes essentially a new tool in our arsenal. Therefore it's a reasonable conclusion to treat it as a tool.

It may be worth testing it out to see if it would be useful, in that case. Or even just to acquaint yourself to it; I found a human body to be difficult to adjust to the first few times I used that power.

[ He doesn't say that a big part of that for him was having to learn how to walk; Kaytoo wouldn't have that issue. But there could be similar problems. ]

If I'm to try this out, for my first time changing, I would prefer to be in your company. If possible.

You already have experience with this, and would know what to expect.

[And also his pride would be damaged if he fucked up being human in front a human. Skeets, not so much.]

When were you planning on doing this? I can make time in my schedule, as long as I don't have a class I'm teaching.

I don't have class today. Actually, I believe the classroom isn't booked today at all, that should afford you some sort of privacy and give you space to move around.
